He and his wife, Nan, have three sons and live in Little Rock, Arkansas. After losing their middle son, Connor, in 2009 at the age of 12, the Deals began working with the nonprofit Touch A Life Foundation to create the Connor Creative Art Center in Ghana, West Africa.
